Virtual Care and TeleRehab Services Announcement
COVID-19 has given us the opportunity to play an important role in enhancing the health and function of those in our community. We are continuing to provide treatment to our clients and any new clients through virtual TeleRehab services. Please read the full announcement for more details.
What is TeleRehab?
TeleRehab is a service that delivers rehab therapy via videoconferencing. It is a secure video platform that enables face-to-face assessment, education, exercise prescription, treatment, and professional expertise remotely. It is intended to provide you with the same high quality one-to-one therapy that you would receive in an in-person visit to our clinic.
Why choose TeleRehab?
If you have a vestibular disorder, TeleRehab gives you the opportunity to access a certified vestibular physiotherapist remotely. It may also be beneficial for anyone with limited transportation or mobility.

Providing and maintaining excellent care is of the utmost importance to us. With TeleRehab assessment and treatment services, we can:
listen carefully to your concerns
explain what will be best to manage your condition
outline what activities can help alleviate your symptoms
provide education and self-management techniques
create, demonstrate, and monitor home exercises
recommend equipment based on your individual needs

Does insurance cover TeleRehab services?
We are able to direct bill to several private insurance companies. Please contact your private insurance directly to determine if you have physiotherapy coverage under your plan.
How to schedule and join a TeleRehab session:
Call the clinic at 709-700-1474 or email info@nlbalance.com.
For Telerehab sessions, we recommend that you choose a well lit, private space to be able to move around, set up you device so you can be hands free, and dress as you would for a regular rehabilitation visit.
We are currently providing Telerehab through two different platforms: Doxy.me and ZOOM. Both are secure and free for patients to use.
Instructions for Doxy.me Telerehab:
Using a device that has a camera and microphone, such as a PC, Mac, or smartphone:
1. Enter your clinician’s Doxy.me web address into the browser (this will be provided to you prior to your Telerehab session).
3. Type in your name and click “check in.”
4. Wait for your provider to start your session.
Instructions for ZOOM Telerehab:
If you are using a PC/Mac:
1. Open the email we sent you and click on the link.
2. This link will guide you to download a software to join the meeting.
3. Once the software is downloaded, go back to your email and press on the link again.
If you are using a phone/tablet:
1. Download an app called “ZOOM Cloud Meetings”. Make sure you download the correct app.
2. Open your email from your phone and click on the invitation link.
